Where Promoting From Within Is a Priority

A recent Harvard Business School article spoke about the propensity of today's workforce to move between employers in part is because of the lack of career development within their existing organization.  The only way up is by going out.

MMI Hotel Group is proud to share that because of the continued development of its team members, property leaders are on-call.  Our Manager-In-Training program has recently provided several qualified candidates for General Manager positions.

Several GM positions have been filled recently and we are excited to share that:
  • Sarah Province, existing Front Office Manager at Hotel Indigo-Hattiesburg, has been promoted to GM at the hotel.
  • Bart Johnson, existing GM at Home2 Suites-St Simons Island, has been named as GM at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort.
  • Kyi Moseley, existing Front Office Manager at Home2 Suites-St Simons Island, has been named as Interim GM at the Home2.
These three announcements come relatively soon after two fellow Manager-In-Training team members were promoted to GM at Cabot Lodge-Millsaps and Candlewood Suites-Flowood.  We believe our M.I.T. program will continue to provide a program for additional training about our industry and our company and appreciate the continued interest in being a part of this group.

MMI has always believed about providing opportunities whenever and wherever we can.  It has been rewarding to recognize new GMs, but just as important are the openings these internal promotions create through the rest of the organization.  MMI Hotel Group remains an organization where careers are made.
